MCGAHEE, Doris Haygood, 81,a resident of Prattville, AL, diedpeacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2007, at GreenspringsAssisted Living. Funeral serviceswill be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., fromthe Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Pastor Glenn Graham,Jr. officiating. Burial will followin Prattville Memory Gardens,with Prattville Memorial Chapeldirecting. Mrs. McGaheewas a devoted wife, mother,and grandmother; a CharterMember of East Memorial Baptist Church, an active memberof the Omega Sunday SchoolClass, and an avid bridge player with her friends of the Thursday Morning Bridge Club. Shewas preceded in death by herbeloved spouse, Holmes AskewMcGahee. She is survived byone daughter and son-in-law,Donald and Teresa McGahee;six grandchildren, Sunny (Peter) Kalisky, Samantha Swinhart, Jennifer McGahee, D. J.McGahee, Olivia McGahee,and Matthew McGahee; andseveral nieces and nephews.Special appreciation is extended to her devoted caregivers,Joan Austin and Anna McBride,and special friend, Sylvia Marshall, and the staff of Greensprings Assisted Living.
