Noel Williams McGahee

1934 - 2026

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, February 23, 2026 at his residence, Mr. Noel Williams McGahee, 91, loving husband of 66 years to Chloris Cliett McGahee.

He is also survived by his sons: Dwayne McGahee (Barbara), Brandon McGahee, Troy McGahee (Kristine) and the late Paul McGahee (Peggy). Grandchildren are Jonathon McGahee, Paige Gallagher (Chris), Chelsea James (Tyler), Brooke Douglas (Dylan), Chandler McGahee (Madison), Chloe Moelter (Samuel), Ashleigh and Allison McGahee; four great grandchildren: Noelle Gallagher, Rhett Gallagher, Weston Douglas and Porter Douglas and many special nieces and nephews.

Noel was born and raised in McDuffie County and was a graduate of Dearing High School in the class of 1952 and attended Young Harris College. He enlisted in the United States Army where he remained for two years before continuing a career at Dupont as a lab technician. He retired from SRS after 40 years of service. Noel loved his family, the beach and gardening, which he did until he was 90 years old.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Robert Lehn officiating, burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
