Thoughts and prayers go out to Blackman family, so sorry for your loss. We didn't meet Mike (we called him Jessee), until he moved to Chattanooga, TN, some 30+ years ago. Rest in peace, from the Chattanooga Gang, "TB" Tony Barnes, "Bobby" Greg Lomax, "Mikie T" Michael Taylor, "Chant" Marchant Terrell, and "Cuzz" Bernard Footman. We will surely miss you.

It was an honor to be present and escort (MOM) Mrs. Mercedes Blackman and (SIS) Alfreda to the entrance of our beloved St. Joseph's Catholic Church and School where it all began more than 50 years ago, to bid a worthy farewell to my (BRO) Michael. Our other friends and classmates were well represented. I wish it were under other circumstances. Our friendship will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace "Bear" with the Class of Eternity.

Rest in Peace "Bear" I remember back in college playing football against him at Hampton Institute back in the 70's. I remember when we played against each other in baseball when Greenfork vs. Rockerfeller. He was a great competitor, and I will truly miss him. We will see "Bear" again one day he is in a better place. May God Bless you Nupe as you journey to chapter Invisible may God bless your family.
