Funeral Mass Daniel Keith Barbry, Sr. of Mansura will begin at 11:00AM on Monday, January 13, 2025, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura.
Daniel Barbry, Sr., age 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his residence in Mansura. Daniel never met a stranger, He would talk to anyone that would talk to him. He loved his family dearly. He was larger than life, loved to joke and have fun with his family and friends. Daniel was a member of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of LA, in the past served as council member and later served as Vice Chairman. He was a retired United States Postmaster of 34 years.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa Ducote Barbry of Mansura; children, Wendy Barbry Lemoine (Shane), Daniel Keith Barbry, Jr. (Tessa), Kain Sayer (Blair), and Beau Barbry; mother, Shirley Bordelon, siblings, Chris Barbry, Sr. (Emilie), James Barbry (Angela), Cheryl Barbry, and Brent Barbry, Sr. (Jennifer); grandchildren, Jordan Lemoine (Dillian), Carson Lemoine, Braeden Sloan, Angelle Sayer, Max Sayer, Eli Barbry, Coty Barbry, and Adylyn Sayer; one great grandchild Hazel Welch. A host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Clay Sayer; father, Winston “Buddy” Barbry; sibling, Joey Henderson
Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM- 10:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM, on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. The funeral home will reopen on Monday morning at 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
