Betty Collins Dobey

August 23, 1945 - December 24, 2024

Betty Collins Dobey, 79, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at her home. She was born August 23, 1945, in Mooresville, to the late Floyd Collins and Carmel Brannon Collins. Betty was a Registered Nurse. She worked for Mecklenburg County and the VF Corporation in Mocksville, NC, before her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Collins.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James "Jim" Thurman Dobey; sister; Jane Rogers; sister-in-law, Vonnie Collins; niece, Lisa Kirk; nephews, Lee Collins and Phillip Collins.

Visitation for family and friends will be January 2, 2025, from 6-8 p.m., at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.

Cavin-Cook Funeral Home and Crematory, Mooresville, is serving the Dobey family.
