Billie Harding Obituary

Billie Epley Harding, 95, of Morganton, passed away on Friday, Dec. 05, 2008, at Autumn Care following a period of declining health. She was born on Feb. 8, 1913, and was a daughter of the late Alfred F. and Maggie Taylor Epley. Mrs. Harding was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are her sons and their wives, Gregg and Barbara Harding of Cornelius and Garry and Nina Harding of Morganton; grandsons and their wives, Marc and Matilde Harding of Marietta, Ga. and Jeff and Yvonne Harding of Concord; great-granddaughters, Mia and Emma Harding, of Marietta and Zoe Harding of Concord; a brother and his wife, Harold and Jerelene Epley, of Morganton; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norris B. Harding; brothers, James, Carl, Garmon, Albert and Ernest Epley; and by sisters, Cordia Waters, Hazel Johnson and Margaret Byrnes. Family graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Forest Hill Cemetery with Dr. Thomas A. Bland officiating. The family received friends Saturday at Sossoman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Youth Fund, PO Box 459, Morganton, NC 28680. Condolences at www.sossomanfuneralservices.com.
