Dear Doane Family, So sorry for your loss. Uncle Al will be missed. I will always remember the train rooms, not being able to keep up with him when following him to the cemetery for Aunt Jeannette's funeral, getting to share his 95th birthday in Vermillion, and for his overall love for his family. Our world has the right to rejoice about the wonderful life of Al.
He was so interesting! Whether it was Put In Bay, The Lorain Light House, or World War II planes, he spoke with such enthusiasm, you had to be interested! He was a kind and intelligent man, who cared deeply about his family and his community! We will miss him greatly, and send our condolences to his wonderful family
