Brian Fleming

1963 - 2021

Brian Fleming, a lifetime resident of Amherst, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 after a brief illness.Brian was born May 30, 1963, in Amherst and was a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in the class of 1982. He worked in the rail yard for the Wheeler Trucking Company. He was a member of the Amherst American Legion,VFW and Eagles clubs. Brian loved people and found great joy in doting on his nieces, Sarah Ann Mulder and Emma Grace Mulder. He was a huge NASCAR fan and attended many Michigan International Speedway races.Survivors include his father Fearl Fleming of Amherst; his brother Skip Fleming of Tallassee, AL; his sister Michele (Duane) Mulder of Temperance, MI; and his nieces Sarah and Emma.Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Cassie Fleming (nee: Belcher) in 2019.Friends may call Tue., Dec 21, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Dec., 22, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
