Carson Fraley Obituary
LORAIN – Carson Fraley, 74 years of age, and a resident of Lorain, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday evening, September 21, 2014.
He was received into the arms of his Savior from his home in Lorain while under the care of his loving wife and family during days of declining health.
He was born September 8, 1940 in Stephens, Kentucky. Carson lived in Elliott County, Kentucky before coming to Lorain County where he had made his home for the last fifty-four years.
Carson was employed at Ford Motor Company in Lorain and Avon for thirty-five years before retiring in 1995 as a BEHR operator.
He was the founding pastor of West Ridge Enterprise Baptist Church in Amherst. Carson served for thirty-four years as the Pastor and continued to be the Pastor Emeritus of North Lake Missionary Baptist Church in South Amherst. He faithfully preached God's Word and loved each individual of his congregation. Carson's devotion to Christ and his love of kingdom work was his greatest legacy for his family.
He was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching Kentucky Wild Cat basketball, Cleveland Indians baseball and the Cincinnati Reds. Carson's hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Carson leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of fifty-four year Betty Lou Fraley (nee: Stevens); his son Terry Carson (Ginger) of Ringgold, Georgia; his daughter Deborah Fraley-Walden (Mark) of Lorain; grandchildren Robbie Bischoff (Velinda), Amanda Bischoff, Marquell Walden, Candice Johnson (Andre), Natalie Santos, Ashley Walden, Mark Walden, II, Heather Fraley, Heidi Fraley (Mylann), Holly Fraley (Dewayne), Michael Fraley (Allyson), Josh Woodard (Tabatha), Ashley John (Thomas); twenty-two great grandchildren; his brother Bill Fraley (Bessie); his sisters Opal Griffith (Virgil), Della French (Louie), Faye Garrity (John).
He was preceded in death by his siblings Claris Shade, Tenneson and Beatrice Fraley; and his parents Wallace and Gracie Fraley (nee: Terry).
Friends may call Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. at the North Lake Missionary Baptist Church; 323 North Lake Street, South Amherst.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at North Lake Missionary Baptist Church, 323 North Lake Street, South Amherst. The Rev. Jayson Samons, Rev. Billy Fields and Rev. Calvin Ray Evans, Jr. will Co-officiate.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst

I am so sorry for the loss of Bro. Fraley. I know that he is in a better place now. Betty, you probably will not remember me, but you & Bro. Fraley were in charge of the Young people's group at Old Fashioned Grace Baptist way back in the 1960's. I will never forget the party you hosted for us at your house on Rt. 113. Thank you for all your good deeds on your journey, as you never know just how you will effect another person's life. God bless your family.

Carson's life will be influencing others for Christ for many years to come. What a fine legacy he leaves to his family, friends and the community. He will be missed. “Those who live in the Lord, never see each other for the last time.” I think he would have liked that quote. Carson was a wonderful man, he worked with so many at the Ford plants and along that path is how my family crossed. Pastor Fraley counseled Kenny and I a few times just out of total friendship and compassion. Carson your work is now done here on earth, Rest in peace. Gods home is now your kingdom to enjoy
