Glen "Butch" Ewing Sr.

Glen “Butch” Ewing Sr., 62, passed away on December 11, 2018 after a lengthy illness at Lake Pointe Health Center in Lorain, surrounded by his family. He was born February 19, 1956 in Lorain, Ohio, where he was a lifelong resident and attended Clearview High School.Glen, who was called “Butch” by some, was employed as a machinist for Nordson in Amherst. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, bowling and spending time with family and friends.He was preceded in death by a son, Elijah Fairley; his beloved parents, William and Lumetra Ewing; sisters, Emma Willis, Sarah Dower, and Lorena Ewing-Brown; and a brother, James Fultz. Glen leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Glen Ewing Jr., William Ewing, and Mark Allen Hill, of Elyria, and Paris Hilliard, of Springfield; daughters, Lenora Lumpkin, of Columbus, Sharla Hitchens, of Lorain, and Gwendolyn Southern, of Elyria; sisters, Alice Goines, of Waterford, Michigan and Rev. Maryann Lucas Carter, of Saginaw, Michigan; brothers, Willie and John Ewing, of Lorain; and a host of other relatives and friends.Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 3900 Clifton Ave in Lorain.
