Judith Kakas Obituary

Judith A. Kakas, age 81, passed away January 28, 2022, in Westlake, Ohio. She was born March 23, 1940, in Cleveland to Bernard and Martha (Golden) Woschura.Judy was a Deputy Recorder for the Lake County Recorder’s Office for over 15 years. She then went to work in the church office at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairport Harbor. Judy was a member of St. Anthony’s for many years and then joined St. Joseph Catholic Church when she moved to Avon Lake. She was a Eucharistic Minister. She was very active with the church’s carnivals and festivals and the Fairport Mardi Gras.Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and was great at interacting with them. She and her husband, Andy, loved to travel and thoroughly enjoyed their trips to Vegas and the Alaskan cruise they took.Judy is survived by her daughter, Valorie Laird; sons, Larry Laird, Michael (Anita) Laird and Mark Laird; grandchildren, Jordan Laird, Parker Laird, and Matthew Laird; sister, Nancy Phillips; brother, William Henderson; nephews, Brian Henderson and Carl Phillips.She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Kakas in 2013; granddaughter, Jennifer Bolger; and her parents.Friends and family will be received 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Mulqueeny Spear Funeral Home, 312 Eagle Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held immediately following at 6:00 PM.

I was saddened to hear of Judy´s passing! as I was her housekeeper! What a true sweetheart! She was always so POSITIVE! Many prayers to her children and extended family at this difficult time!

I have many menories of your
I have many good menories of your mom and dad my husband was very good friends with them. I think they use to golf to gether but not sure, but thry did alot of thing together in cluding the fourth of fuly party at his house. I sure miss him and my husband they sure wher a pair and your mon was so nice a nd always good to them now matter how much trouble them where.

Judy was a sweet, kind, caring lady with a funny, feisty streak. She made me feel welcome and a part of when I joined the ministry she was in at St Joseph's parish. She will be greatly missed! May God hold her in His loving arms, and comfort her children and family!
