Kevin Houdeshell Obituary

SHEFFIELD LAKE - Kevin M. "Howdy" Houdeshell, 36, of Sheffield Lake and formerly of Avon Lake, passed away unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, January 8, 2014.

Mr. and Mrs. Houdeshell, I saw your son's story on television and I am so sorry for your loss. My late best friend, also had diabetes, but he died from complications of a car accident almost 5 months ago. But I want you to know that my prayers and unconditional support are with y'all at this time. God bless you all.

Dear Houdeshell Family,
We are so sorry for the loss of Kevin. He was our bartender at Fridays, I never knew his last name. I just found out recently he was also my neighbor Sunset/Vineyard. I can imagine if he would have known, we would of had a lot to talk about. Kevin was a wonderful young mad, and we were both shocked. When we found out, we happen to be talking about what a great guy he is and someone over heard the conversation and told us of his passing the night before. Kevin, Jim and I will miss you! After we left the funeral home we went straight to Fridays to feel close to you. Rest in peace buddy. You are one of a kind!
You are all in our prayers, my God Bless you.

Judy, Dan, and Family ~ Words are never enough to express heartfelt condolences over the loss of a child. I never had the pleasure of knowing Kevin, but knowing you, Judy, through a friendship of almost fifty years, I know what kind of son he grew up to be. Dawn and I are so very sorry for the loss of your son and brother. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Find solace with the knowledge that he is at peace, now and forever, and that you will all meet again.
