Randall Simon Obituary

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL. – Randall Simon, 3/27/1946- 11/14/2015, age 69, peacefully and gently passed away at his home in Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday, November 14, 2015 after a long quiet battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Lorain, Ohio on March 27, 1946, Randy is survived by his life partner of 42 years Norris D. Miller, three brothers, Nick, Jim and Jerrold as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Nickolas and Mary Simon and sister Jane Simon. He also leaves behind many loving friends. He received a Masters of Arts degree from
Eastern Michigan University (1970), Bachelors degree in music from Wittenberg University (1968). Randy was proud to have traveled globally with the Wittenberg choir, honored in Who's Who in 2005 and 2006 edition with recognition for his accomplishments in business, Real Estate and leadership skills. With a passion for travel and cruising, Randy was proud to have visited 6 of 7 continents of the world and many several times. Randy met Norris in 1973 in Ann Arbor, Michigan and they built a wonderful committed life together and retired together in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.
A memorial service for Randy Simon will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4501 Clinton Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Laurie A Miller, pastor, will officiate.

I remember Randy so well from Whittier and AKHS. Those were the days Mike Husar drove us to school every AM. Randy was kind and so talented. It was no surprise to me that he did well in life.
Seems like just yesterday we were in South Lorain.
I miss many people from his class at AK.
My condolences to his loved ones.
