Arma - Danny M. Rogel, 78, of Arma, Kansas died at 1:03 A.M. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Via Christi Hospital at Pittsburg, Kansas.
Mr. Rogel was born January 9, 1943 at Pittsburg, Kansas the son of Martin and Sophie Golob Rogel. Danny was a retired businessman who owned and operated the Dari Castle in Arma until he retired. He was a lifelong resident of Arma. He was raised in Arma and attended Arma High School. He graduated from Arma High School in the Class of 1961. He later attended Pittsburg State University and studied printing, He later attended Ft. Scott Community Junior College. He also worked at the Arma Record and Pittcraft Printing in Pittsburg. He married Barbara Bailey on April 8, 1967 in Frontenac, Kansas. Mrs. Rogel preceded him in death May 11, 1998. He was a member of the Arma United Methodist Church and the Arma Masonic Lodge. Survivors include a brother, Kenneth Rogel of Olathe, Kansas, a sister, Linda (Alan) Roberts of Arma, nieces and nephews, Kelly and Dennis Selznick, Scott and Christine Roberts, Amy and Kevin Hall, Jason and Amy Redd, Christine and Josh Mitchell, Lori Bailey, Michael Bailey, Thomas and Jean Bailey, Timothy and Jennifer Bailey, Terry and Kathy Bailey, and Tammy and Donald Jamison, and sister-in-laws, Jo Ann Bailey, Martha Bailey, Mary Redd and Juanita Bailey. He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Sophie Rogel.
Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with the Rev. Steve Cole officiating. Burial will be at the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 P.M. Friday at the Bedene Chapel where friends may call after 1 P.M. The family suggests donations in Danny's name to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712.
