My sincere condolences to the Hite family. At times like these God can give us "the power beyond what is normal" so that we can keep on going from one day to the next. (2 Cor 4:7)

Mr Hite was my 6th grade teacher at George Nettels grade school. One of my very favorite teachers. I was very competitive and he was one of the few teachers that would let me stretch it to the limit. He was the first teacher (besides Mom) that really got me into reading and I would say, that as much as anything I learned early-on, the ability to read at a high level has stayed with me throughout life. I would occasionally see Mr Hite in later years and we would always share a good memory or laugh. Thank you Mr Hite.

So sorry to hear this. Mr. Hite was the principal when my children were in grade school in Kingman and he was so nice, personable and reasonable. Loved watching him officiate high school football games. Sorry for your loss. The world lost a wonderful gentleman.

A very cool person, Steve listened and spoke from his heart. Many memories I treasure but the one that comes to mind today is when I started medical leave to become a cancer survivor, Steve let me select my long-term substitute and helped in special ways like spending time with our twin daughters in an emotionally-supportive way, like sitting with them at lunchtime and eating lunch with them while quietly asking how they were doing. A great friend, Steve, left this world a better place and will be greatly missed. I still remember vividly our twins saying to me how they were amazed at Mr.Hite becoming their friend, always in the best way. Know you made a difference, Steve. That was our school motto for one year...Make A Difference. Whether at school, or participating, coaching sports, Steve Made A Difference! May he be filled with Glory Above just as he spread light and goodness here on Earth. Have to end on light note: never will forget those playful teasing ongoing jokes between Steve and his Vice-Principal about age jokes and about who was the youngest. If this was Steve's real age, he had many fooled. We loved his humor and twinkle in his eyes. With Sincere Respect and Love for a Most Dignified Man, sending our condolences to Steve's family. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Steve was the best principal I ever had in my thirty+ years of teaching in Kingman. I will always remember him as a soft spoken kind and gentle man. May the angels lead him into paradise, may the saints come to greet him, and may he live forever in the loving arms of God.
