Died: October 11, 2017; in Morris, IL
Gregory R. Kjellesvik, 46, of Morris, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 11, 2017 at the Morris Hospital with his family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Morris with Rev. Dr. Roy Backus officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St. in Morris.
Born September 2, 1971 in Morris, he was the son of Richard and Diane (Sterritt)Kjellesvik. He graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1990. Later he completed his apprenticeship to be an electrician with IBEW Local 176. He married Tamara Newman on December 16, 2000 in Maui Hawaii and they lived all of their married life in Morris. He owned GRK Electric Contractors Inc. for many years.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Tamara; three children, Alayna, Jake and Makayla Kjellesvik of Morris; his mother, Diane Kjellesvik of Morris; two brothers, Michael(Kelly) Kjellesvik and Ryan (Amanda) Kjellesvik both of Morris; several nieces ,nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his father, Richard Kjellesvik; and his grandparents.
He was an avid sports fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Black Hawks, Notre Dame and the Morris Redskins.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

I am sorry that I saw this too late . Greg had passed thru my Apprentice class and was an avid student . I then years later had an opportunity to work for GRK at a few Menards stores in the area . Greg was bidding against the non union company's vying for the jobs .He mentioned that he could not stand by and see that work go RAT.
I hope I did him well.
