Mark Wendling Obituary
Mark A. Wendling, age 53 and Janice M. Wendling, age 52 both of Morris, IL passed away suddenly as a result of an accident, on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Mark was born on February 23, 1963 in Oak Lawn, IL the son of Adolph and Sharon (Stevenson) Wendling. Janice was born on November 22, 1963 in Cook County, IL the daughter of Gus and Betty (Bonczkowski) Miller, both deceased.
Mark and Janice were united in marriage on July 12, 1986 and spent the next 29 happy years together.
Mark was employed for 31 years, as an Electrical Engineer for Exelon, formerly Com Ed, at the LaSalle County Nuclear Station. Jan was a Math Teacher for the Morris School District #54 and had served for several years as it Union Treasurer. They were both active members of Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL.
Mark and Jan are survived by their sons, Ryan Wendling of Cherry Valley, IL and Kevin Wendling of Morris, IL.
Mark is also survived by his parents, Adolph and Sharon Wendling of Morris, IL; his brother, Steven (Laura) Wendling of Pleasant Prairie, WI; his sister, Linda (Ray) Migas of Lake Villa, IL; also 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Cross Lutheran Church, 8609 Rt. 47 in Yorkville, IL with Pastor Eric Gauss, officiating. Interment will follow in the Chapel Hill Garden South Cemetery in Oak Lawn, IL.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 9:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Church in Yorkville, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Mark and Jan Wendling Scholarship Fund.
