Susan McNabb Obituary
Susan R. McNabb, age 53, of Morris, passed away early Thursday morning, April 2, 2015 at Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Plainfield with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at New Community Church, 706 E. Washington St., in Morris with Rev. Kevin Yandell officiating. Interment will follow in Saratoga Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church.
Born July 26, 1961 in Morris, she was the daughter of Philip and Shirley (Rehberg) Zink. She graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1978. Susan married Scott McNabb on October 19, 1979 at the First Baptist church in Morris. They lived all of their married life in Morris. For 10 years she was employed as program assistant for special education at Minooka Grade School and for over 17 years was the community living director at the Narvick House.
Survivor's include her loving husband of 35 years, Scott; two children, Jeremy (Jen) McNabb and Jackie (Andy) Stoltz both of Morris; four grandchildren, Grace and Lane McNabb and Jackson and Grant Stoltz; her father and step mother, Philip and Judy Zink; one sister, JoEllyn (Brian) Johnson of Seneca; one brother, Gary (Wanda) Zink of Florida; three nephews, Tom(Robyn) Wills, Tim (Ashley) Wills and Travis (Molly) Wills all of Morris; one niece, Amber Bostick of Decatur; nine great nieces and great nephews; one aunt, Beverly Rehberg of Lisbon; two uncles, Ron Rehberg of Morris and Ken (Karen)Zink of Earville.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Shirley on May 12, 2012; and uncle, Bill Rehberg on November 4, 2011.
She was a member of the New Community Church, served on the board of Special Connections for Grundy County and past president of Women's Bowling Association.
She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. One of her last special memories was the family trip to Hawaii.
Memorials may be given to the New Community Church or Illinois Valley Industries.

I am so sorry that I just learned of Sue's passing.
I have been living in Tennessee siince 2008 and no longer have family in the Morris area.
So many memories flood my mind but above all else, I remember Sue's kindness and patience with our clients as well as with whom ever crossed her path. She was a true Christian lady and greatly missed by all who knew her.
I also did not know of Shirley's passing... another gracious lady who gave us all an example to live by. My thoughts and belated prayers are with your family for I know that neither Sue or Shirley can ever be replaced.

I worked with Sue at Grundy County Special Education Coop. She was so much fun, loving, kind, caring. I also loved the wallpapering she did at a day care for me. She was a wonderful lady who will be greatly missed. God bless you, Sue.
