Barbara Sodergren Obituary
A Funeral Service was held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Grace Covenant Church in Little Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service on Sunday. A private interment was held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Caring for Barbara and her family is LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls.
Barbara Joan (Johnson) Sodergren was born on November 3, 1933 in Duluth, MN, to the late Carl and Signe (Swanson) Johnson. She grew up in Duluth and attended Central High School, where she met and began dating the love of her life, Wayne Patrick Sodergren. Barbara and Wayne were married on April 5, 1952 at the First Covenant Church in Duluth. They were blessed with three boys, Brad, Scott, and Keith. Barb loved gardening, quilting, cooking, and traveling- especially to the North Shore of Lake Superior and St. Simon's Island in Georgia.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 73 years, Wayne Patrick; children, Scott (Jane) Sodergren of Osceola, WI and Keith Sodergren of Duluth; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Bryant (Mischelle) Johnson of Minnetonka, MN.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Signe; sibling, Merle (Char) Johnson; and son, Brad (Sylvia) Sodergren of Des Moines, IA.
