Lloyd LaBorde Obituary
He was born in Lincoln Township near Lake Crystal, MN on November 7, 1934 to Glenn and Anna LaBorde. He graduated from St. Cloud Tech, went to Dunwoody Institute, and then joined IBEW Local 292 Electrical Workers union and worked as an electrician until his retirement.
He met Janice Wilson at church in Minneapolis and went on to get married and have three kids: Doug (Kristine), Paula (Stuart) and Don (Brenda) who supplied grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Jessica, Rachel Jordan, Dawson (Allison), Nathan, Daniel and Joseph. Lloyd and Janice bought a farm near Pierz in 1972 where they eventually settled after 20 years working in Alaska. During those 20 years and until the current day the family raised beefalo cattle and garden crops including asparagus and other things sold at the farmers market. Lloyd and Janice's three children all currently live on the original acreage of the farm.
Lloyd's service will be held at Grace Covenant Church in Little Falls. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 10, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to Voice of the Martyrs.
