Funeral services for Sara Louise LaBorde, 79, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at First Methodist Church in Monroe, with Sr. Pastor, Brian Mercer and Rev. John O’Leary officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
Mrs. LaBorde was born on April 26, 1946, in Cleveland, OH, and passed away January 22, 2026, in Monroe, LA. She retired as an Administrative Law Judge for the Department of Labor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Devon LaBorde; son, Louis Joseph LaBorde II; brother, Douglas Leporati; and her parents, Louis Edward Leporati Sr. and Sara Clayton Leporati.
Survivors include her children, Eric Lee LaBorde (Christie), Leigh Ann LaBorde; brother, Louis “Bo” Leporati (Ginger); grandchildren, Valerie Brooke LaBorde, Tori Lee LaBorde, Ashley Susan Gill, Megan Nicole Haynes, and Amber Paige Haynes; 11 great grandchildren, Cadence River McConnell, Emma Raylynn Hatch, Donovan Wayne Bedingfield, Jr., Jaycen Lee Allen Whitlock, Zachary Mason LaBorde, Joshua Andrew Shows, Jr., Sara Marie LaBorde, Serenity Rain Haynes, Charlotte Sue Gill, Bles’Syn Azaria O’Neal, and Millie Forever O’Neal; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
