Sylvester Tadych Obituary

Sylvester, affectionately known as Sy, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on April 13, 2024.

Sy was born on September 16, 1931 in Gilman, MN to his father Anthony Tadych Sr. and his mother Sophie Louise Tadych (Kampa) where he lived until the the age of 18 when he joined the Army and served in the Korean war with honor. As an older man he grew to be an avid gardener, fisherman, hunter, and an excellent cook. He and his wife loved to spend their time bowling and playing cards together.

Sy is survived by his loving wife Marjorie Tadych (Agenter) of Milaca; his children Charlotte Auger (Joe) of Bethel, Barabara Jesser (David) of St. Michael, Christine Tadych (Glen) of Wisconsin, Sheila Jacobson (Drake) of Minneapolis, Judi Grabinski (Mark ) of Wisconsin, Evelyn Bockoven of Milaca, Ann Tobeck (Troy) of Princeton, Renee Cruz of Princeton, Jonathan Tadych of Milaca, and Thomas Tadych of Minneapolis; his sisters, Judy Wiese (Carl) of Rockford, Theresa Tsichida of Grey Eagle, Lucille Czech (Sylvester) of Little Falls, Judy Synoski (Ed) of Little Falls, Jeanne Atkinson (Richard) of Illinois, Barbara Farrier (Arthur) of Michigan; stepbrothers, LeRoy Lutzke (Lucky) of Osseo and Roger Lutzke (Doris) of Little Falls; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sy is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Sophie, his son Anthony Tadych, sister Dorothy Gadacz, brothers Anthony Tadych Jr. and Michael Tadych, stepbrother Donald Lutzke and granddaughter Jamie Plamquist.

Burial service with 21 gun salute held on Saturday, May 25th, 2pm at Wahkon Cemetery on Highway 27.
