Alma Jones Obituary

Alma Jones, 72, of 533 First Ave., Galion, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Galion Community Hospital, Galion after an extended illness.

Alma was born in Terre Haute, IN on August 22, 1940 to the late Jesse and Grace (Sawyer) Conley. She married Donald R. Jones, Sr. October 1956 and he survives her.

She was a member of Unity Freewill Baptist Church, Galion. She loved crafts, flowers, being outdoors and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Donald R. (Sherry) Jones, Jr.; three daughters: Marie (Royce) Mounts, Jean (Gene) Brady and Ann Meadows; twelve grandchildren: Kenny (Lindsay) Mounts, Linda Hernandez, Jackie Terry, Stephanie Jones, Jeremy Jones, Tom (Michelle) Swain, Ashley Swain, Amanda Brady, Jessie (Eve Nicole) Brady, Beth Brady, Daniel (Mandy) Meadows and RaeAnn (Matt) McFerran; 17 great-grandchildren; brother David (Stella) Conley; sister Donna Kuhn; sister-in-law Janet Conley and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Herb Vaughn; her sister Gale McNall and her brother Glenn Conley.

A celebration of life and service will be held at Unity Freewill Baptist Church, 288 Pershing Avenue, Galion on March 23, 2013 with Pastor Dave Bates officiating. The family will receive guests from 3:30 to 5:00 PM with the service beginning at 5:00 PM.

The Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion is honored to serve the family of Alma Jones.
