Beatrice Castle

Beatrice (Campbell) Castle, 81, of Mount Gilead, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the Galion Pointe Nursing Home.

Beatrice was born on May 20, 1936, in Cherokee, KY, to the late Bascom and Ada (Kimbler) Campbell.

In September of 1955, Beatrice married the love of her life: the late Noah Castle in Paintsville, KY.

A hard worker, Beatrice started as a waitress at the Freeway Inn on 95. She later went on to build buses with Grumman/ Flxible Metro. After many years on the front-line building buses, Beatrice went home to be the best homemaker she could be for her family.

Beatrice was a member of Edison Enterprise Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing for the congregation and serving in the food pantry. Her love of her grandkids was as strong as her love for Christ. She enjoyed every moment she had with her family. Recently, Beatrice was looking forward to going home to be with the Lord as she gave God ALL of the glory.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Carl (Ellen Newman) Castle of Mount Gilead, Kathy (Jerry) Skaggs of Galion, and Alex Castle of Johnsville; grandchildren: Cora, Tommy, Angel, Ace, Heaven, and Andrea; great-grandchildren: Raheen, Kaylyann, Camionna, Sakori Jr., Coby, Mahlia, Skyler, Khi, Dominique, Keagan, Edgar, Raven, and Riley; brother, Farrell (Newme) Campbell; and sisters: Roberta Castle and Jane (Lorn) Bunker.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Noah; parents: Bascom and Ada; brothers: Darrel, William, Earl, and Harold Campbell; sisters: Wilma Pennington-Ball and Alice Fletcher; and a great-grandson, Ian.

Her family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at the Snyder Funeral Home, Craven Chapel. (67 N. Main St., Mt. Gilead, OH 43338) Service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at the Edison Enterprise Baptist Church. (3055 OH-95, Edison, OH 43320). Pastor Ed Colegrove and Roger Fletcher will officiate. Burial will follow in Worden Cemetery outside of Edison.
