CARDINGTON — Robert L. "Robbie" Thomas Jr., 42, of Cardington, passed away early Saturday morning, October 28, 2017, at Morrow County Hospital.
On July 18, 1975, Robbie was born in Traverse City, Michigan, the son of Robert L. Thomas Sr., and the late Linda G. (Fisher) Thomas. He graduated from Mount Gilead High School in the Class of 1994.

Robbie was a hard worker and truly enjoyed his job as a union carpenter for Compass Construction out of Columbus.
An outdoorsman through and through, Robbie loved hunting pretty much anything that moved, fishing, and the comradery of doing those with his friends.
Robbie was a sports fanatic, cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, and the Columbus Blue Jackets. He also enjoyed working out at the gym and the friendships he developed there.
Above anything else, his true passion was being a father and spending precious time with his children.
Robbie will be remembered as an outgoing, caring young man who would do anything he could to help others out. He was a wonderful role model and example for everyone in his life.
Robbie will be dearly missed by his wife, Traci, of Cardington; three children: Jacob, Aubrey, and Payton Thomas, all of Cardington; his father, Robert (Genevra) Thomas Sr.; two sisters: Ranee (Rod) Randall of Mount Gilead, Shelly Hogan of Baytown, TX; his twin brother, Jamie (Carla) Thomas of Belleville; a step-sister, Kelly (Jason) Ballard of Sparta; his grandmother, Trudy Fisher of Jasper, TX; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Don (Becky) Ramey of Centerburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John (Kelley) Mead of Centerburg, Scott (Gretchen) Fox of Mount Gilead; 13 nieces and nephews: Dakota and Braxton Mead, Madison, Lily, and Henry Thomas; Colby (Katie), Gabe (Taylor) and Savannah Randall, Donald Jr. (Rebecca), Leighanna, and Kierra Hogan, Kora and Ryan Ballard; a great niece, Kori Randall; and too many amazing friends to name.
