Sharon J. Ickes of Wooster, passed away peacefully August 22, 2014 at home after a brief illness.
She was born in Johnsville, Ohio on December 5, 1940 to Clifford and Kathaleen (Shaffer) Donelson.
Sharon was employed by Regal Ware in Wooster for 23 years. She then became an LPN and was employed for 14 years as a caring, compassionate nurse at Brethren Care Village in Ashland, Ohio.
Sharon enjoyed family activities with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed walking and volunteering at People to People Ministries. She attended Church of the Savior in Wooster.
Surviving are her children, Andrea, Rock (Beth), of Wooster, Curt (Dianne) of Ashland, and Greg (Laura) of Pickerington; grandchildren, Christopher, Kristin, Ashley, Rachel, Emily and Andrew; sister Doris Eckenrode of Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by her son Matthew Sean, her brothers Paul and Robert, her sisters Beverly Eckert, Joyce Snavely, and Nancy Murray.
A Family service will be held graveside. Interment of her ashes will be in Shauck Cemetery. The family is assisted by Snyder Funeral Home, Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Road, Wooster 44691.

My condolences to the Ickes family. Sharon was always the first to help anyone. I worked with her and she was a very special person with a good heart. I will miss her, she was a wonderful friend.
