Zanoni "Zanie" Maureen (Faust) Weaver, was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. Zanie was born on August 23, 1935, in Marion, Ohio, to the late Cyrus and Iona (Houk) Faust. She graduated from Cardington-Lincoln High School in 1954 and began working at Galion Ironworks.
On September 23, 1956, Zanie married the love of her life, Albert Weaver. They went on to have two children, Randy and Rick. Over the years, they became grandparents to 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Zanie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed many years in the camping club, playing cards, teaching grandchildren to swim, and gardening. You could most often find her tending to her flower beds, cooking, baking, or canning. Zanie was a devoted Christian, attending the Fargo Wesleyan church for 65 years and giving much of her time to her church community.
She was the first to be there for friends and family, providing food and fellowship whenever needed. She took every opportunity to be involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, traveling often and far for all occasions, from sporting events to graduations and weddings. She enjoyed winters in Florida for 29 years, but was always most at home on the homestead she shared with Albert and family for nearly 65 years. Though she will be greatly missed, the family finds comfort in knowing that Zanie is now peacefully resting in her eternal home, safely in the arms of the Lord.
In addition to her loving husband, Albert, Zanie is survived by her two children and their families. Randy (Kathy) Weaver of Marengo and Rick Weaver of Sunbury. Grandchildren: Brock (Allison) Weaver of Marengo (Harper and Asher), Kirby (James) Adams of Dayton (Jaila), Chase (Tory) Weaver of Mt. Gilead (Abel and Skylar), Kiersten (Derek) Walker of Marengo (Neveah and Caleb) and Alisa (PJ) Zaragoza of Quartz Hill, CA (Camdyn and Lily). She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Lee) Faust of Cardington and sister Valerie (Roger) Walters of Aguilar, CO, as well as several aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many close friends.
In addition to her parents, Zanie was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Faust and sister-in-law, Wanda Faust.
