Ann Wright Obituary
With deep love and celebration of a life well-lived, we rejoice with Ann Farley Wright now resting in her mansion in Heaven, who passed peacefully from this world on September 12, 2025 at home in Charleston SC. Born March 30, 1941, in Zion, IL, Ann was a woman whose spirit uplifted everyone around her with compassion, kindness, and unwavering hope in Jesus. Thankful for His gift of a beautiful voice, she asked the Lord if her job in Heaven could be singing in the choir, positioned behind the Lord's throne to witness His work. She now joyfully fulfills that wish with her fully restored, soprano voice.
Ann's journey through motherhood was marked by joy and sorrow. She was the devoted mother of three, Chuck, Laura, and Troy, guiding them with unconditional love, patience, and encouragement, filling her heart with pride. Both of her sons preceded her in death, and she longed to join them.
Ann's legacy is not only one of familial love but also of community service. Deeply involved in organizations such as Young Life and foster parenting, she mentored countless young people. A gifted communicator, she was an inspirational speaker and soloist for churches, retreats and civic women's organizations. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly through her ownership of numerous businesses, including the founding and management of three adult care homes. A woman of many talents, she was a great "finder," excelling at locating profitable properties to buy and sell. Ann also channeled her creativity into launching a Christian greeting card business called Soul Mates, which spread messages of hope and love. In her 50s, she returned to school and earned a BS in Business Management from Azusa Pacific University. During her studies in California, she volunteered locally at the Motion Picture Television Hospital and Health Center, doing visitations, counseling and chapel services, even drafting a Policy Proposal Study for a Hospice Wing.
After reconnecting at a Phoenix Christian High School reunion, Ann found her soulmate in Larry Wright, whom she married on January 1, 2005. Together, they shared a beautiful 20-year love story-a testament to the power of second chances. Faith was the cornerstone of their lives, even volunteering for a three-month missionary trip to Bonaire with Trans World Radio. Ann created and recorded radio programs while Larry contributed his electrical skills. Contributions in their memory may be made to TWR at: https://twr.org/give.
Ann's family enriched her life bringing great joy and support to her. She is survived by daughter Laura (Jeffrey) Kier, their children Jacob Kier and Samantha (Branden) Bozard - Phoenix, Oliver. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Janelle, and grandchildren through her son Troy, Hannah Grace Bowles and Zachary (Hannah) Bowles - Zayden, Asher, Selah. Marrying Larry brought her a whole new family who were an added blessing: three additional children Ryan, Rhonda, and Reagan; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law, Phil and Margie Smith.
Ann is reunited in peace with those who preceded her in death, including her beloved husband Larry, dear sister Wanda, brother Carlton, and sons Charles Farley Bowles and Troy William Bowles.
Beyond her family, Ann touched the lives of many as a steadfast friend, and trusted confidant. Her commitment to caring for others is evident through numerous friendships lasing over 50 years. Ann leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, beautiful songs, and loving testimonies, which will continue to inspire friends and family for generations. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts and be treasured by all who were blessed to know her. In honoring Ann, we rejoice that she now rests in peace and glory, eternally singing Holy! Holy! Holy!
