Eugene F. Killian

Eugene F. Killian Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle PHELPS - Eugene F. Killian, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Linda (Coonrod) Killian; two children, Valoree (Mike) Pembroke and John (Amy) Killian; three grandchildren, Caleb, Colton and Connor; brother, Francis E. (Renna) Killian; and four nieces, Terra, Sara, Sydney and Alexandria. Gene was born in Rochester and was the son of Frank and Sandra (Kuta) Killian. He was raised in Irondequoit. He and his family moved to Phelps in 1962. Gene graduated from Phelps High School in 1968. He received an associate's degree in electrical engineering from Mohawk Valley Community College in 1970. Gene went on to earn a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1973, where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society. He was employed as a real property analyst with the State of New York, Office of Real Property Services. Gene loved photography, golf, science and the great American automobile. He was a dedicated husband, and father and found great joy in his most recent role as the grandfather of three beautiful boys. He will be dearly missed. Friends may call tomorrow (Friday) from 5 to 8 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
