Hazel H. Schaeffer

Hazel H. Schaeffer CANANDAIGUA - Hazel Schaeffer returned to God on Dec. 2, 2014. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Justin T. Schaeffer; brothers, Francis, Douglas, Lavern and Leonard; and sister, Jeanne Overacre. Hazel is survived by her children, Karen S. (Michael) Ham, Sharon L. (Francis) Reid, J. Thomas II (Virginia) and David L. Schaeffer; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine H. Kornbau of Kansas; brother, Gary Hughson, of Las Vegas, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews. Hazel and her husband owned two local businesses - the Rotary Service Station and The Ale House. She worked as a secretary for many years for Father Avery at Saint John's Church, Orton Motors and Dr. Armstrong and Dr. Philip Standish. She also worked at G. W. Lisk and G. G. Bra. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of Fuller Funeral Home Inc., Canandaigua.
