Danny Lee Schaeffer

Danny Lee Schaeffer, age 70, of Fouke, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, claiming victory over his long battle with cancer. He was born on September 12, 1955, in Texarkana, Arkansas. Danny was the son of Kennith and Freda Schaeffer of Fouke, Arkansas.
Danny graduated from Fouke High School and was a dedicated member of the Steel Workers Union 752. He worked faithfully at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company for 44 years, where his commitment and strong work ethic were highly respected. Known for his steadfast character and devotion to family, Danny was a loving husband to the late Ann Schaeffer, to whom he was united in marriage on September 11, 1976, in Fouke, Arkansas. He was a proud father to his children, Robert and Vanessa Schaeffer of Fouke, Arkansas, Rachel Schaeffer of Fouke, Arkansas, and Ryan Schaeffer of Fouke, Arkansas. Danny was a wonderful Papa to his grandchildren: Kara Hale-Schaeffer of Columbia, Missouri; Makenna and Devin Handy of Fouke, Arkansas, and their daughter, Harper; and Karsen and Jaxson Dastillon of Fouke, Arkansas, and their daughter, Riley.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann Schaeffer, his brother, David Schaeffer, and his parents, Kennith and Freda Schaeffer.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, long-time friends, Tommy Engledowl and David Boone, and a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Danny was under the compassionate care of Enhabit Hospice during his final days, surrounded by those who loved him dearly.
Danny's legacy of faithfulness to God, his family, and his Razorbacks will be cherished by all those who knew him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services. Danny's memorial service will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Faith Chapel Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. Faith Chapel is located at 5311 Poole Rd., Texarkana, Arkansas. Rev. David Boone will be directing the service.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Robert and Vanessa Schaeffer following the service.
