Marcus Ray Carmichael

Marcus Ray Carmichael, 23, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2026. Born May 4, 2002, in Dallas, Texas, Marcus was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished son, brother, and friend.

Marcus chose to spend forever with the love of his life, Alexandria Carmichael, on November 10, 2021, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and purpose. He was a proud and deeply devoted father to his son, Nolan, and was eagerly awaiting the birth of his daughter, Naomi, who is on the way.

Marcus was a hardworking young man who took pride in providing for his family. He worked for Reliance Mechanical Contractors, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to help others.

Marcus will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, amazing sense of humor, and the deep love he had for his family. He had a gentle soul and a presence that made those around him feel valued and cared for. Though his time here was far too short, the impact of his life will live on through the many people who loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Alexandria Carmichael; his son, Nolan Carmichael; and his unborn daughter, Naomi Carmichael; his father, Ricky Paul Perez; and his siblings, Mandria Carmichael, Jose Ortiz, Mariella Carmichael, Jasina Carmichael, Alexzander Perez, Aria Perez, and Ricky Perez Jr., along with numerous extended family members and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Carmichael; grandmother, Sharon Rowe; his grandfather, Thomas Carmichael; and his aunt, Kathy Hodges.

A celebration of Marcus's life will be held to honor the incredible man he was.
