James Anderson Obituary

James Edward Anderson
James Anderson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on Sept. 8, 2020.
Jim was born on Jan. 26, 1927, and was the son of the late Harvey W. and Ruth M. Anderson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Rosemary D. Anderson; and son, Kenneth J. Anderson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Constance R. Anderson; children, James E. Anderson Jr., Lauren Doyle (Tom), Matthew Anderson (Rose), Nancy Hakes (Steve), Marisa (Scott) Jones and Christopher (Barb) Madonna; grandchildren, Bryan, Nora, Taylor, Jeff, Melissa, Zach, Tori, Reed and Jackson; and great-grandchildren.
Jim was a very proud graduate of Ohio State University with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy.  He worked in sales at Taylor Instrument for 34 years and several other companies after that until he retired.
Jim was a very active participant in several theater guilds in the 70s and 80s.  He later resumed his childhood passion of model trains and was a member of the GGGRS train club.
Jim's family would like to send special thanks to M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center for almost a year of wonderful care.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 15, from 3 to 5 p.m. followed by a service to celebrate his life from 5 to 6 p.m. at Crosswinds Wesleyan Church, 3360 Middle Cheshire Road, Canandaigua. The service will also be livestreamed for those not able to attend in person.
