Nicholas C. Manaco

Nicholas C. Manaco CANANDAIGUA - Nicholas C. Manaco, age 79, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Isabel (Walker) Manaco; three children, Jeffery (Wendy) Manaco, Renee Oberdorf and Michael (Susan) Manaco; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, John Manaco, in 2010; and son-in-law, Dennis Oberdorf, in 2013. Mr. Manaco was born in Canandaigua and was the son of Nicholas A. and Angela (DeGloma) Manaco. He was a graduate of St. Mary's School, class of 1949, and Canandaigua Academy, class of 1953. Mr. Manaco worked as a television repairman for Miller's Appliances in Canandaigua and later Eastman Kodak Company from where he retired in 1991 after 28 years there. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Canandaigua Elks Club. Mr. Manaco was an avid sports fan. He was formerly active in Canandaigua youth baseball and he enjoyed bowling. Friends may call tomorrow (Wednesday), from 4 to 7 p.m., at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua.
