Alyssa Hudgins Obituary

Alyssa Danielle Hudgins, 23, of Midland, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Funeral services were held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Mid-Cities Community Church. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Alyssa was born on March 30, 1992 in San Angelo, TX. She was adopted at an early age by her parents Ardis and Jean Hayslip, and they resided in Midland, TX. Alyssa went to school at Midland Christian from kindergarten all the way through high school and graduated in 2010. It was there that she met her Prince Charming, Tyler Hudgins, and they married July 30, 2011. Alyssa lived a beautiful life. She loved Jesus with everything within her and she loved using every gift and talent that God gave her to His glory. Some of her gifts and talents include art, photography, Essential Oils, yoga, athletics, and cheerleading. She loved Jesus, singing, laughing, watching Disney movies, and traveling to Black Hills, South Dakota and Austin. She loved Jesus, and she loved Rosa's queso! Alyssa made everything beautiful and had the unique ability to create "arts of worship." Oh, and did we mention, she loved Jesus! She had the ability to put a smile on the face of anyone she knew and met. She loved Tyler with all of her heart, but she loved Jesus more! She had a deep love for all of her friends and anyone who knew her as a friend, knew you had a friend for life! She will be greatly missed. Alyssa is preceded in death by her father, Ardis Hayslip. She is survived by her husband, Tyler; mother, Jean Hayslip; her grandparents, John C. and Wanda Hayslip; grandmother, Barbara Hudgins; great-grandmother, Velma Smades; brother-in-law, Jared, his wife Kaitlyn, and their daughter Kinsley; mother-in-law, Mary Browning, her husband Wesley; their son, Andrew Browning; the Hayslips, Millers, Glassgows, and Rodericks families; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Alyssa may be gone from this side, but her smile, laughter, and talents will live on forever through our memories. We will miss her here, but will see her again soon in Heaven! In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Show Hope. Show Hope is a movement founded by Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, to care for orphans, restoring the hope of a family to orphans in distress around the world. Donations to Show Hope can be made in memory of Alyssa through Mid-Cities Community Church and 100% of the proceeds will go to Show Hope. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.

Great family. My buddy was there for me in a time I needed him. Ardis revealed to me a glimpse of Christ's character and compassion without knowing the impact.

Still So sad, to lose them so suddenly. And to lose my buddy, Ardis, a man with good and compassionate heart. Missing them.

It was my honor to have known this beautiful young lady for such a short time thru her courtship, love and marriage to Tyler but I will honor her, love her all the days of my life. What a beautiful person she was, what an honor to have known her..
