Caleb Andersen Obituary

Caleb Wayne Andersen, 18, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 surrounded by his family in Houston. There will be a memorial service 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at Stonegate Fellowship in Midland. Caleb was born on July 17, 2000 to Vance and Ashley Andersen in Midland, Texas. He was a senior at Greenwood High School, who was an old soul and enjoyed watching old western movies. One of his favorite things to do in life was to be with his "dads" hunting, fishing or being at the lake. He was the life of the party and was very intentional about making sure everyone he was around was laughing and enjoying every moment, even if he had to aggravate them. Throughout his battle Caleb never complained and always found the best in every situation. He had the biggest heart and loved his family and friends with everything he had. He was a big momma's boy and loved her more than she will ever know. Caleb is survived by his father, Vance Andersen; mother, Ashley Jones and husband, Steve; siblings, Kenedy Andersen and fiancé, Hunter Bennett; Kourtnee Jones and Karrington Kumpe; grandparents, Ben and Louise Neatherlin; Paula Ottaberry; Scott and Julie McWilliams and James and Marsha Jones; great grandmother, Virginia Ward; nephew, Kasin Kumpe; nephew, Lane Bennett; niece, Rivergrayce Bennett. He is preceded in death by his Pops Donnie Jack Ottaberry, Jr.; great grandparents, Buster Ward and Jack and Nina Ottaberry. Pallbearers will be Colt Bennett, Cinco Simon, Spencer Marion and Jaryd Ivy, Kurt Marion, Parker Killian, Jared Lewis and Jace Usery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to Greenwood Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
