Auddie & Family:

My deepest sympathy goes out to you for the loss of a very special man; a loving and proud patriarch, successful businessman, church/community leader and a true patriot - a mighty man indeed, and a life worthy of much celebration. I hope you find peace knowing that no loss, time or distance could ever take away the treasured moments you were blessed to share with him throughout his incredible life.

Dear Dottie and family,

I am so sorry about Earle's passing. It was a shock. You all were such valued friends of my family, and he will be sorely missed. I have many fond memories of Earle going all the way back to the days of The Midland Aquatic Club, The Racquet Club during the summers I was a lifeguard, and thereafter. Earle kept himself in such fine physical shape that he was an inspiration to me for doing likewise throughout my life. I recall working out with him at Paul Thorpe's as well as the "Y", and certainly enjoyed running with him during his "5 mile" runs. I shall cherish the many fond memories I have for you, Earle and the family.

Dear Craig Family,
It has been a long time since I have had the opportunity to visit with any of you but, I want you to know how sorry I am with the passing of your husband or father. I have packed away in my aging mind so many wonderful memories of the "good old days" when we were all swimming together. Not until I had children of my own could I have ever even begun to imagine how much time and effort went into those meets or practises. I hope all of you will have days of story telling while you get together and remmber all the fantastic times you have shared as a loving family. Blessings to you all, Tricia Linehan Golding

We would like to express our sympathy to Dottie and the family.  The Craigs were an important part of our years in Midland and the YMCA.  Earle helped our oldest son overcome his stuttering and we will always be grateful for his help. The Craigs are what made Midland what it is today.Halle and Dave Widner

My condolences to Mrs. Craig and family as well as Lisa and Glenda of the office. Mr. Craig was truly the symbol of "a gentleman". He was not only dashing and daring but also gentle and true. He brought a bright spark to the Midland landscape for the past 60 years and we are richer to have known him.

Dear Dorothy and Family,
I send my heart felt sympathy. He was a great friend and mentor. His sound advice and wise counsel during my years on the City Council and as an Elder in the Church were always deeply appreciated. We both shared a great love of bird shooting.
He was truly one of a kind, and will be deeply missed. My love to each of you.

I had just received a letter recently from Earle regarding his hopes to contact the President regarding donation of additional land at Custer Battlefield (which Earle had helped purchase) to the National Park Service. I am sorry that he will not be able to witness this transfer of land to the Park Service. I note that he grew up in Beaver County, PA where I grew up. I recently met mutual friends Tim & Amy Leach of Midland. My sincerest condolences. I hope that some of the family gets a chance to visit Custer (Little Bighorn now) Battlefield someday.
