Enick stepped into eternity on January 26, 2026. He was blessed to meet his grandchildren and have his family near him before he left.
Enick was born to Paul and Laverne Diffee on November 11, 1954 in Hale Center, Texas and was welcomed by a proud father, happy mother and a sister Kois.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, son, Paul, and his wife, Alexa and their children Jack and Dorothy, all of Wilmington, North Carolina. He is also survived by his sister, Kois Hunnicutt of Roswell, New Mexico.
Enick was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Laverne Diffee.
A graduate of Eastern New Mexico University at Portales earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1976. Enick worked in talent acquisition and was a petroleum landman for the majority of his life.
He loved life, lived it well, and encouraged all who knew him to do the same. All will miss his sense of humor and his constant positive attitude. He never met a stranger and loved people. His joys in life included knowing God better, being with family, traveling and intellectual and heartfelt discussions.
Enick loved the oil and gas business and he was good at it!. His name can be found in county records across several states. He loved being a dad, fine clothes, cowboy hats and boots, art, country music, and a good joke. He had sayings and a point view that will live on with his family. His approach to life was this... "Ain't saving nothing for the swim back." Go all in now, empty the tank, take the risk, commit fully. The moment of certainty will never come.
He taught us about life and left a legacy behind to be proud of. We plan on living the way he did to honor him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Coble Funeral Home & Crematory.

There will be no services. Enick preferred it that way, but we know he'll be remembered and missed by those who knew him.
