Our Deepest Sympathy to the Boyd Family from the Hanta Family on Oahu and Maui. We will always remember Foy and Sue when they visited Hawaii in 2010. Attending Germaine's Luau and meeting you for the first time at the New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel was a pleasure. We're glad you made it all the way to Hawaii to meet your baseball teammate Carlton Hanta after all those years apart. Thank you for visiting him here on Oahu! Thank you for all the support and the help you gave my father while he was playing baseball for U of Houston.Take care and Aloha! Both of you can play baseball again. Foy Hanta

I'm so sorry for your loss. Foy was a wonderful kind intelligent man who made everyone around him feel welcome. I've known Foy since I was young. He was good friends with my parents, Mike and Vi Lea Borland. My parents were firm believers in teaching their kids to work hard. One of my first jobs was as a waitress at Chilis. Not long after I started Foy became a regular customer. No matter who he was with he always asked to sit in my section. He was unfailingly courteous and kind (and a great tipper which as a poor college student I greatly appreciated). Once I graduated from law school and came back to Midland, my husband and I became regular attendees at Foy and Susie's south 40 parties in the pecan orchard. I loved running into Foy around town. He always had a kind word and time for a visit. He was a true gentleman. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
