To my precious Hale friends who are my second family and to the Lusk family I just met. Having walked the steps you are going through now you have my prayers not just now but for the days ahead. So thankful Gary did not suffer and am blessed to have had him as a friend for 41 years of his short life. I pray when my journey is complete someone can say this of me that Gary was an example of someone who lived the dash between the year that he was borned and the day God called him home. Was so excited to hear about him going on a walk last year and he is making me think about organ donation how awesome was that him helping 50 people. Because of that his legacy will live on and from his precious grandchilren, children, wife and all who loved him. Hope this brings our friendship closer that we see each other more often in our busy days. Love you all and to the Hales I am so glad to cherish that title "Big Sister"

Gary went to Heaven in a quick way and we are so glad he didn't have to suffer but it also happened far sooner than any of us wanted.
There is not enough space in all the memory books of the world to write what Gary meant to me. Oh my goodness the funny stories he told, the tricks he played on us, the laughs together. Thank you God for allowing Gary into our lives. Gary will always be in all our hearts. We know Gary will want to see each of you in Heaven. Please be sure you have Jesus as your Savior so you will see him again one day. Praising God for Gary and the joy he continues to give.

My mind is there in Colorado City with all of you. Due to circumstances, we could not be there to share the memories and the love that is always in the family when they are together. Gary was one of my favorite people in the world. He was so willing to do whatever needed to be done from the most menial to the most difficult, AND....he did it to the best of his ability. God created a very special person and when he put Gary in our family on August 5, 1977, he added to it in a substancial way. God bless all of you, and Delaine, I will be in Midland as soon as Dawn gets through with her clinicals and can take the kids to school, etc. My heart is there and I love you.
