Ivan was born March 14, 1992, in Midland, a son of Ramon and Ana Ferrer. Ivan was raised in the Catholic faith and was the co-owner of Buffalo Jo's restaurant. Through his time there, he positively impacted the lives of many people. Whether it was to provide them with work when nobody else would hire them or a teenager who needed their first job. He trained with patience and led by example and made everyone feel like they belonged. He never met a stranger. He treated every guest like family and every employee like they mattered. Ivan was a full-time Longhorns fan and a part-time baseball analyst. His favorite pastime was going to baseball games with his mom and dad, beer in one hand, corn chip pie in the other, yelling at the ump like it was personal. He loved sports, loved a good drink, and loved being around people who didn't take life too seriously. If you were around him, you were probably laughing or getting roasted. Either way, you remembered it. Ivan loved being around his family. Always making every get together a fun time for everyone. Ivan was extremely proud of his only nephew Amoni Crosby. Through every one of his baseball games, Ivan was there in person or watching him on Game Changer. He would brag to anyone and everyone about how extremely proud he was of the young man he is becoming. He will truly be Amoni's guardian angel. Ivan is reunited with his abuelita who he loved and missed so much. They are both laughing together again with their distinctive and joyous laugh.
He is survived by his parents, Ramon and Ana Ferrer of Midland, TX; one sister, Monetta Ferrer of Midland, TX; and his nephew, Amoni Crosby of Midland, TX, as well as a host of family and friends.
Ivan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
