Jimmie Mann Obituary

Jimmie Lea Mann, 75, of Midland, Texas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. at Kelview Heights Baptist Church of Midland on Friday, November 10, 2017. Jimmie Lea Mann was born on October 15, 1942 in Graham, Texas to James W. Dinsmore and Iris Jean Cole Dinsmore. She was a teacher for the Hobbs Independent School District and Midland Independent School District. She retired from education after 26 years of service. Jimmie Lea enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Cruising was an all-time favorite! She was recognized for "Who's Who Among American Teachers," as well as many other honorary accomplishments. Jimmie Lea attended Eastern NM University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master's degree in Business Education. Jimmie Lea is survived by her husband, Larry Mann of Midland; a sister, Carolyn Brandt and her husband, Gerald of Burnett, Texas; two sons, David Botkin and his wife Pam of Midland and Gary Mann of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters, Connie Butts and her husband Brent and Susan Farmer and her husband Bo, all of Midland; as well as nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their gratitude toward Hospice and friends that have helped during this difficult time. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
