Jimmie Redman

Jimmie Redman, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed from this life to be with his heavenly father on Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday afternoon August 17th at the Post Antelope Arena.

Jimmie was born June 11, 1938 in Post, Texas. He graduated from Post High School in 1956. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 33 years. Afterward he owned and operated Redman Redi-Mix and Redman Redi-Lube. Jimmie then started riding colts and day working for the local ranchers which have been the most enjoyable days of his working life.

The Bold Gold Antelopes lost their biggest fan and loyal supporter. He loved the Post Community, and the recent centennial parade where he and his wife Delores served as parade directors was one of his most enjoyable community endeavors. His favorite times in life were following his grandkids all over the country competing in their sporting events. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church where he was eager to serve his Lord in any capacity. He was also a member of the Post Masonic Lodge #1058. Jimmie was a true servant of God, and joyfully served in every way he could.

He is survived by his loving wife Delores, 3 sisters Mary Alexander of Lovington, N.M., Maxine Cook of Levelland, Tx, Jenny and her husband Bobby Cowdrey of Post, Tx, 1 son and 3 daughters, Dale and Penny Redman of Midland, Tx and their children Rachel, Reid, and Hunter, Dee Dee and Jim Brinker and their 2 sons Chance and Brik of Lubbock, Tx, Denise and Sam Dunn and their 2 sons Camron and Carson, and Kim of Post, Tx.
