Kali Marie Rodriguez

Kali Marie Rodriguez, 15, of Midland, Texas, was born on June 2, 2001 in Midland, Texas to Miguel Angel Rodriguez and Jennifer Kathleen Bilbrey. She passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in Midland, Texas. Kali was adventurous and full of sass, never concerned with speaking her mind; you knew what she was thinking. She was very smart, maintaining a straight A average during her attendance at Rusk Elementary and most recently, Greenwood High School. She visited Disney World twice and went on a cruise to Progresso and Cozumel. Kali loved to bake with her Nana and was artistic too. She enjoyed writing and reading and wanted to be a writer and a chef when she grew up. She was even writing a book! She loved going to the movies, swimming and hanging out with her cousins and friends. Kali loved babies, all babies, and they all loved her too! She loved watching cooking shows on tv, especially cake war. She also loved Fixer Upper. Kali was vibrant, courageous, strong and beautiful. She was amazing! She leaves behind a legacy for family and friends to treasure forever. She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Bilbrey (Johnathon Kepple); father, Miguel Rodriguez (Norma Hernandez); two brothers, Nolan Kepple and Devin Wilson; one sister, Brittni Paredes; maternal grandparents, Kathy and Debo Bilbrey; paternal grandparents, Juan and Thomasa Rodriguez; maternal great grandparents, Doris and Robert Donagon; maternal aunts, Megan Sena and Deborah Brewster "Grandmama"; paternal aunts, Christina (Juan) Sanchez, Crystal (Jorge) Marmolejo, Gracie San Miguel; maternal uncles, Zachary Bilbrey and Michael "Lefty" (Sherrye) Bilbrey; paternal uncles, Anthony (Maribel) Wilson, Joe (Roseann) Wilson and Freddie San Miguel; godmothers, Crystal Marmolejo and Angela Brewster; godbrother, Jossiah Wilson; two cousins who were like her sisters, Madison and Sara Brewster; three best friends, Kaitlyn Gonzales, Izac Olguin and Skyler Ortiz; many, many cousins and other loving family members. Receiving her in heaven are her maternal grandparents, Delbert and Birdie Bilbrey; maternal uncle, Brandon Smith; paternal uncle, Raymond (Monchi) Rodriguez. Viewing will be at American Heritage, Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., come and go. On Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the family will be receiving visitors.
