Wow, you are missed! Thank you for taking me in as your own. Thank you for encouraging me, loving me, guiding me, and supporting me always. We planted a tree in remembrance of you, everyday as I go out to water; I think of you. The girls ask about Grandpa Doug... AND Frank raced in your honor this weekend, how cool is that.. I know you are watching us. I love you, and selfishly miss you.

My wish was that he lived closer so we could have spent time together, unfortunately he moved out to Texas. I would like him to know he recently became a great grandfather to a baby girl named Aspen Lily. She was born during a blizzard and I think he would have loved her name. I miss the long talks that we had, although we hadn't in some time. I remember going to visit him and how he brought me out onto the ranch the guys were working at.

One of THE BEST guys I have ever known!! Worked with him a few years ago and will always remember I would quite often ask him how it was going and he'd reply it'll get better, then I'd ask him when and he'd reply I don't think I wanna live that long!! :-) Sure will miss knowing he is in the world spreading his unique joy for life!
