Robert E. Sutton Sr.

Robert E. Sutton Sr., 85 of Odessa passed away January 29, 2015 in Midland. He was born July 25, 1929 to Dr. Walter Lee Sutton Sr. and Letha Hudson Sutton in San Angelo, TX. Robert was an excellent husband, father, and grandfather. He was a real estate broker for several years. He was community minded. He was in the Army and served in Korea. Robert was very mission minded. He distributed over 500 Bibles while in Korea. He was instrumental in the improvement of multiple churches in Arizona. Robert was passionate about God, family, traveling, and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Ruby; 3 daughters, Marla Kay Mayfield, Barbara Nunez, Jami Miller; 1 son, Robert E. Sutton Jr. and 1 brother, Charles Sutton; Grandchildren, James Mayfield and wife LeeAnn, Michael Mayfield and wife Rochelle, Robert E. Sutton III, Rachael Anthony and husband Jordan, Reagan Sutton, Randal E Sutton, Lindsey Navarrete and husband Isaiah, Logan Nunez and Erica Garcia, Audra Miller, Nolan Miller and 9 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Drive in Odessa. Funeral services will be at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, Monday, February 2, 2015 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Greg Morris and Robert Sutton Jr. officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Services are entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors
