Mrs. Fay Lindamood Hooker, age 44, went to her heavenly home winning her battle with ovarian cancer on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the Woltz Hospice Home. Fay lived in Mount Airy, where she actively attended Shelton Church of the Brethren and worked as the safety and human resources coordinator at Hardy Brothers Trucking Company. Survivors include her husband Jon Hooker; daughters, Anna Lindamood and Haley Hooker. Other survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Roger McCreary; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and Teri Lindamood, Billy and Deanine Lindamood and Brian and Kelly Lindamood; her mother-in-law, Lucille Hooker and a brother-in-law, Phillip Hooker and wife Kay. Fay had many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Fay was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Lindamood and Dorothy Lindamood; her father-in-law, Charles Hooker and sweet puppy Sunshine. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Shelton Church of the Brethren by Rev. Ted Turner and Kelly Holder. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend, or walk in the woods or the beach for a moment, an hour or a day. "Time waits for no one."
