CORNELIUS, NC — Jamie Delane Jacobs, age 36, of Cornelius, NC died in Lincoln County, NC on Saturday, August 8, 2015. Jamie was born on February 27, 1979 in Lumberton, NC to Angie Oxendine Robey, and the late James Earl Jacobs. He graduated from Scotland High School of Laurinburg, NC in 1997. He married Heather O'Neal Jacobs on June 11, 2005 after moving to Asheville, NC. Jamie is survived by his wife, Heather O'Neal Jacobs, children William, Kylie, and Reese of the home, his parents, Angie and Phil Robey of Greenville, SC, his brother Heath Jacobs of Pembroke, NC, in-laws David and Chris O'Neal of Mount Airy, NC, sister-in-law Ashley Moser and husband Jared of Mount Airy, NC, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, James Earl Jacobs. Jamie loved life and cherished his family and friends. He had a contagious smile and loved spending time with his wife and children. He enjoyed boating, racing, and sports. He was always eager to help anyone in need. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2015, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., at McDougald Funeral Home in Laurinburg, NC. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jamie's life. In lieu of flowers, there has been an educational fund established for the children in honor of their father at Surrey Bank & Trust, 145 N. Heather, I just heard of your loss today. I am praying for God's strength and love to help you through this oh so sad time for you and your family.
