Justin JoeVante Fields was born on Nov. 22, 1993. He was the son of Raymond and Louvenia Fields. Justin graduated from East Surry High School in 2012. Justin was a character and to know him was to love him. He played sports, loved to have fun, and could make people laugh without trying. His laugh and funny faces could make anyone laugh. Justin loved his family and did not play about his sisters or his mom and dad. Spoiled was an understatement. He was spoiled by his parents and his sisters and anyone else he came in contact with that he could convince to let him have his way. He had a heart for his nephews and nieces. Justin loved many and many loved him. He did not meet a stranger and would give anyone the shirt off his back. Justin leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Raymond and Louvenia Hickman Fields; six sisters, Yolanda Hickman, Louvanica (Bradley) Miller, Jorita, Melissa, Christine, and Hope Fields; seven nephews, Reverend Joseph Hickman, Zyon Graham, Imajae Hickman, Amarion, TaNaze, Jonterrius Fields, and Alonzo Smith Jr.; eight nieces, Mahogany Moore, Jamariah Lowery, Tanautica, Alaysia, Anaysia Fields, ZyRihanna Hickman, and Catalaya Miller; three aunts, Virginia Hickman (William Mitchell), Jesse Lennon, Doshia Scarborough; five uncles, Otis, Pete, Wilbert, Willie, and Larue Fields, William Phillips; one great-uncle and one great-great uncle; a special poppa, Johnny Turney; and a host of cousins, special friends, and many more. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, three aunts, and three uncles. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday August 7, at Triumphant Pentcostal Church, Mount Airy, at 1 p.m. and burial will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens, Mount Airy. Family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Spencer Funeral Directors are in charge of all services and arrangements.
