Michael Lowe Obituary

Michael Kermit Lowe, 64, the man who always made us smile, got to smile at Jesus on Monday, November 7, 2016, after his huge heart just got too full. He was reluctantly released by his adored wife, Carol; his favorite daughter, Maggie; and his sweet baby sister, Holly Scott, her husband, Greg, and their son and his wife, Dustin and Ashley. He is also survived by a sister, Paula Bellick and her husband, Morris. Mike was an artist, musician, master storyteller, historian, comedian, and sawmill man. The family will receive friends Friday, November 11, 2016, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, with a celebration of his life to follow immediately. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to the Calvary Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, 314 South Franklin Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030. His daughter and wife are very passionate about this ministry, and Mike was very passionate about his wife and daughter. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.

My dear friends. My dear Carol and Maggie. Mike always gave me a hard time, teasing and joking, questioning and taunting, hollering at me when he saw me across the street!. . . and what joy seeing him has always brought me and all of the Donnell family I send my love to you though my heart is very heavy. I guess I just need to think of his smile. There - that's better. Thanks, Mike!

Carol my sincerest condolences to you and your family. When I got the news last week I was so saddened. I saw Mike at the NC fair but didn't get to talk to him because he was so busy. The image I will remember is the Master showing an inspired mind in a little girl the workings in leather that just might stay with her a life time. I among so many, many others will miss him.
